Boy, 14, who 'had free time' earns £1.3k in four months
Tue 25 Mar 2025A teenage boy who had free time and didn't want to be 'doing nothing' has started his own business and earned £1.3k in four months. Whitworth Community High School student Leo Pilling, 14, is now spending his weekends valeting and detailing cars at his parents’ homes in Whitworth, and business is booming.
The unassuming Year 10 student set up LP Valets in Whitworth just before Christmas, and he was so successful he was able to pay the £999 for his school sporting trip to Lisbon.

Three teens awarded trophies with Rossendale scout band
Thu 06 Mar 2025Three teenage members of a scout group have been recognised for their dedication and hard work at a concert. The Rossendale Scout Group Senior Band members were awarded trophies at the group's Patrons' Concert, with four trophies being given out at the event. The concert was held at St Mary's CE Church, in Rawtenstall.
