GCSE Results Day 2020

20th August 2020

Dear parent/carer and student

Arrangements in preparation for GCSE Results Day on Thursday 20th August 2020.

Students can collect their GCSE results in person from school on Thursday 20th August between 9.00am and 10.15am.

You will need to come round the outside of the school building towards the Sports Hall.  If it is fine, we will give you your results outside.  If it is raining, results will be in the Sports Hall.

Results will be grouped in tutor groups and there will be a separate table for each tutor group with a member of staff to give you your results.

Please don't mix with students from other tutor groups - we know this will be hard.

If your parent / carer brings you to school, they will need to remain in the car park at the front of school.  They cannot come round to the Sports Hall with you.

In order for us to email/post your results or to allow someone else to collect them on your behalf, you will need to COMPLETE, SIGN AND RETURN THE CANDIDATE PERMISSION FORM (Link below) to school For the Attention of Mrs C Lord via post by 12 noon on Thursday 13th August.

We know that usually students and staff want to celebrate together on results day - and we usually have lots of staff in school.  However, due to the current guidelines we cannot have lots of staff in school on results day.  If the guidelines change before 20th August - then obviously more staff would be able to come into school.   If you would like to write a message for any of your teachers or for other staff who have supported you, we will have postcards for you to write and there will be several boxes for you to put them in.  You will need to bring a pen!

I am really sorry that results day will be different from usual.  I know that some schools are simply sending all the results out to all students rather than having anyone coming to school, but we really wanted to give you the opportunity to come and collect your results.

Best wishes

Mrs G Middlemas
Headteacher
