Physical Education at Whitworth Community High School provides students with physical activity opportunities both in and out of school through a differentiated programme that fosters a lifetime of commitment. Physical Education will also instil in students' knowledge, skills, and values to make appropriate physical activity choices to integrate exercise into their lives.
At KS3, students cover a range of sports that develop different skills such as aesthetic appreciation, communication, and teamwork. The aim is to give students a broad experience that will allow them to succeed both at GCSE level and in life. During KS4, theoretical understanding is developed through topics such as health, body, and competitions.
